ABOUT JENNE WAX

Primary Care That Works For You

Relationship Based Primary Care. Authentic and Non-Judgemental Care

Dr. Jenne Wax

Hello! I’m Dr. Jenne Wax, a board certified family physician, in practice for the past 15 years. I started my career in NYC and then later worked on the North Shore of Massachusetts within the Beth Israel and Lahey system, and most recently in Portsmouth.

My favorite aspects of being a doctor have always been the relationships I develop with my patients and families. I am continuously honored and grateful for the trust people put in me to be their partner in their healthcare needs. I am committed to being there for my patients and accepting them just as they are, providing a safe and non-judgmental medical home. I enjoy all aspects of family medicine and enjoy working with people of all ages, backgrounds and genders. I have special interests in chronic disease prevention and management, women’s health, menopause, transgender care and mental health support.

I’m currently working on becoming a life coach as well and love helping myself and others work on shifting our mindsets so that we can lead our best lives in mind, body and soul. I live in Southern Maine with my husband, young daughter and son and our Australian Shepherd.

Pamela Lord-Voshell, FNP-C

Hello! I am a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in primary care. Lately, my focus and passion has shifted toward women’s health and menopause care — an area where I believe women deserve far better education and support than they’ve historically received.

As someone navigating perimenopause myself, I’ve gained a personal appreciation for the gaps in research and evidence-based clinical knowledge that so many women encounter during this transition. I’m currently working toward becoming a Menopause Society Certified Provider and am an active member of The Menopause Society.

My academic foundation includes a Masters Degree in Nursing from The Ohio State University, a BS in Nursing from Pace University, and a BA in Biology from Skidmore College.

Outside of work, I stay active through running, rucking and strength training, unwind reading mysteries/thrillers, and enjoy NYT word games. Most importantly, I love spending time with my two kids, my husband, and our three dogs.
